| Pro-Filer Performance Products October 14th, 2007 at The Shakedown at E-Town Scott Filkins joined a very exclusive 5 second club in Pro Modified. Not only did he break the 5 second barrier, but he did it with a 4.840 wedge head motor, something no one else has done before! Filkins ran a 5.983@233, which reset the track record at Englishtown during qualifying and put him in the #1 qualifying spot. For those doubters out there, this isn't the first 5 second pass for the car. They have been as fast as 5.96@241.32 on July 4th at New England Dragway. When we talked to Lonnie Houde, Crew Chief and Tuner for the record breaking car, he informed us that Filkins runs a 06 Pontiac GTO built by Vanishing Point Race Cars and is powered by a 526" New Century block using our 12 Degree "Hitman" 12 Degree Heads Wow! We're proud to see the Hitman's out setting records like this, especially doing battle against bigger bore space engines! Congratulations Scott, Lonnie and the rest of your team on your new record!
