Wenrick Dominates Ohio Valley Outlaw Shootout

October 14th, 2007 at The Shakedown at E-Town Scott Filkins joined a very exclusive 5 second club in Pro Modified. Not only did he break the 5 second barrier, but he did it with a 4.840 wedge head motor, something no one else has done before! Filkins ran a 5.983@233, which reset the track record at Englishtown during qualifying and put him in the #1 qualifying spot. For those doubters out there, this isn't the first 5 second pass for the car. They have been as fast as 5.96@241.32 on July 4th at New England Dragway.
Jarod
Wenrick sealed the 2007 NSCA Pro Street Championship September
23rd with his runner up finish at National Trails Raceway. Wenrick dialed it up
a bit to take out John Decerbo in the final round but shook the tires at the hit.
Wenrick finished the season with 207 points, a solid 20 point lead over
his nearest competitor, Vinny Demieri.

Nesbitt won the Quick Rod Class at the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals on July 22nd.
Nesbitt in his impressive Race Tech Race Cars built Top Dragster defeated Dave
Klomps in the close final round with a 8.917@169.32 vs Klomps 8.90@160.82. Nesbitt
also set top speed in qualifying with an blistering 185.68 mph pass. The powerplant
in this state of the art dragster was built by

Wenrick took home the money at the June 17th Ohio Valley Outlaw Shootout in Louisville,
KY. Wenrick defeated Eric Burnett in the final round with a 4.29@171.20 vs. Burnett's
4.50@164.20.
This
car has been as quick as 6.489@216.76 at the NSCA Season Opener in Columbus, Ohio
and recorded a 4.15 1/8th ET which is one of the quickest passes ever ran by a
Pro Street class car! Not too bad on a traction limited pass!! Watch this guy
give the other Pro Street competitors plenty to worry about during the rest of
the 2007 season...
